Los Angeles– Senior housing is rapidly becoming a priority across the country as demand from Baby Boomers is expected to grow during the coming years. Bernards recently completed a new senior housing community in the Palos Verdes submarket. Sunrise Senior Living was designed by Hill Partnership, a Newport Beach, Calif.-based architecture firm.

Totaling 85,432 square feet of space, the building consists of a podium-style building with a ground-level parking garage and four stories of living space above. Amenities include a dining room, full kitchen, nursing office, activity rooms, spas, beauty salon, and laundry facilities.

Sunrise at Palos Verdes was delivered on time, with the development process utilizing off-site improvements, lane modification and traffic signal additions at the nearby intersection. Suite models have been available for perusal since the fall of last year. The project is the latest collaboration between Bernards and Sunrise, with the two having previously worked on construction projects in Playa Vista and Fullerton.
